A New Tug in the Harbor. - We were this morning treated to a very pleasant excursion over the blue waters of Old Ontario, on the tug. "G.S. Dodge," - a recent accession to the tug force in our harbor. The "Dodge" is owned by Baltis Bros. & Hoffman, of this city, and was built two years since in Philadelphia. Her length is 75 feet over all and she draws six feet of water. Her boiler is of great capacity, with 75 horsepower engine, and all her machinery of the best workmanship and in prime order. her model is excellent and she passes through water almost noiselessly and with scarcely a ripple on the surface. She is undoubtedly a fast tug and in excellent trim for business. In the hands of Capt. John S. Baltis and Engineer Frank Hoffman, the "Dodge" can not fail to succeed. We wish her enterprising proprietors and officers the fullest success.
