Sept. 6 -- Tug CLEMATIS, formerly MARIA LOVE, arrives at Detroit from seaboard.

      * CLEMATIS - U. S. - 1864 [U. S. Navy] [rig changed to schooner 1869. Wrecked Point Edward 1883.

The barge CLEMATIS broke up at Lakeport on Tuesday morning. The deck and spar floated to this port about 5 p.m.. She was built at Cleveland by LaFrenier in 1863. She was once a tug.

The tug CLEMATIS is at the Detroit dry-dock , where her boiler and machinery are being taken out. The old hull is for sale.
