The wreckers succeeded in raising the schooner Kate Kelly with the assistance of three steam pumps and two canal boats yesterday afternoon and she was towed to the entrance of Goble & Macfarlane's slip. It was thought that the pumps could keep her afloat, as two jackets were under her bottom, but upon removing the canal boats she settled down on the bottom again.

Saturday evening the rubber connection pipe on the Sumner's pump blew off and in its dashing about knocked down engineer Henry Lee and a fireman. There was considerable consternation for a few minutes and the crowed ran pell mell under the impression that the boiler had exploded.
