WATSON - Steel bulk freighter (U.S.220605) built in 1920 at Lorain, Ohio by American Ship Building Company (Hull # 778) launched July 30 1920, for Brier Hill Steamship Company (Pickands, Mather, mgr.) as a.) H.H. PORTER: 580 x 60 x 32; 8,262 gross tons. Powered by a 2,300 ihp triple expansion steam engine. Renamed b.) YOUNGSTOWN in 1925, c.) WALTER E. WATSON in 1957 and d.) NATIONAL TRADER in 1973. Scrapped at Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1978.
