Fast Elevating. - The grain warehouse of H. & G. Ames, on the east side of the river, elevated yesterday from the schooner GAZELLE, 4,594 bushels of wheat in one hour and seventeen minutes, being the whole of her cargo, and discharged it into canal boats during the same time. This was done by elevating from both hatches at the same time. The Messrs. Ames have their elevating machinery so arranged that they can elevate 4,000 bushels of grain per hour with perfect ease.
