A new tug is to make her first appearance in our harbor today, named the PHILIP K. ALLEN. She was built by George H. Notter for Sutton Bros. and is 58 ft. long, 13 ft. beam and 6 ft. deep. Her machinery was built by Sutton Brothers. The cylinder is 14 inch bore and 16 inch stroke. She is to be commanded by Capt. Philip K. Allen, from whom she is named, and who has chartered her for the season.
