      James Blessington, a sailor on the brig S.F. GALE, was lost overboard on Saturday P.M., about 4:00 when about 35 miles this side of Pt. au Pelee. He belonged to Pennsylvania. The gale was very severe and Blessington was lost while reefing the mainsail.
