      While the forwarders have had a busy season, some owners here have not. The Calvin Company put some of their timber vessels into the grain trade, expecting to be able to make up for the poor season in timber, but they had hard luck and their anticipations were far from realized. The D.D. CALVIN and tow, however, secured a load at Port Arthur for Buffalo last week.
