Lake Ontario Steam-Boats. - By reference to an advertisement in our columns it will be seen that the Steamboat ONTARIO has commenced her regular trips between this port and Niagara via Rochester, and to Ogdensburg via Sackets Harbor and Cape Vincent. The Martha Ogden will soon commence her regular trips between this place and Niagara, Prescott, Kingston and Brockville.
These Steamboats have just undergone a thorough repair, and many improvements have been made which will add to their safety ane expedition, and to the comfort of passengers. Their engines have been closely examined and improved by Mr. Battles, of Albany, a well known and experienced mechanic. From the enterprising characters of the proprietors and our confidence in the skill and judgment of Mr. Battles, we have no hesitation in saying that this line of Steamboats may be relied upon by travellers for promptness, safety and comfort.
