LAUNCHED:-- The new propeller in the ship yard of Mr. Moses, will be launched today at 3 P.M.

NEW PROPELLER.---The ALLEGHANY is the propeller launched from the yard of Mr. Moses on Saturday. She is a staunch craft of 475 tons, and owned by Mr. Moses, Wick & Morgan, and Capt. Spencer. - Cleveland Democrat

ANOTHER PROPELLER:-- A new and very fine propeller built at this place the past season, starts her steam today. She is called the "ALLEGHANY " measures 460 tons was built by Moses, her engine by Sterling, and painted by Willard & Howe. She is the largest vessel of the kind on the lakes, has a fine cabin, furnished with double state-rooms, intended for the upper lakes trade -- A large steerage, and accommodations to suit the increasing emigration to the west. She is owned by Wick & Morgan, Moses, the builder, and Jennet & Miner, of Sandusky. She is commanded by Captain Spencer, and leaves for Buffalo this evening . -- Cleveland Plaindealer.

Steam screw ALLEGHENY. Of 468 tons. Built Cleveland Ohio, 1849. First home port, Cleveland, Ohio. DISPOSITION:-- Lost 1855 by striking pier at Milwaukee, October 24, 1855. No lives lost.
      Merchant Steam Vessels of the U. S.
      Lytlt - Holdcamper List, 1790 to 1868
     

The engine of the above vessel was recovered and placed in a new propeller ALLEGHENY built at Milwaukee in 1856.
