The new prop. LAWRENCE of the Northern Transportation Co.'s Line, reached Chicago, Monday last on her first trip. Her dimensions are as follows: Length over all, 144 ft.; beam 25 ft. 1 inch; depth of hold 12 ft.; burden 400 tons; engines, 26 inches in diameter, with a 33 inch stroke. The keel of the LAWRENCE was laid down in April at the yard of the Dry Dock Co. in Cleveland, and was launched a short time since. She cost $50,000.
