Milwaukee, Aug. 25.
LAUNCH. - Capt. Lawrence's new schooner, " LAWRENCE," was launched yesterday morning in handsome style. She is a splendid vessel, 120 feet 1 inch in length 24 feet 5 inches beam, 10 feet 6 inches hold, and measures, by Custom House rule, 284 tons. The LAWRENCE was built by D. Merrill & Co. and is one of the strongest and handsomest vessels of her tonnage that we ever saw. She will carry about 12,000 bushels of wheat and cost not far from $11,000. - Sentinel.

LAUNCH OF THE SCHOONER "LAWRENCE" - This beautiful craft glided like a bird into the water. She is a fine vessel, in every sense of the word. Her model shows not less the good taste of her builders, than the skill of the shipwrights.
Milwaukee must soon be a leading point for ship-building. For good timber, cheap labor and eligible situation, she has as favorable a position as any place on the lakes. - Daily Wisconsin.
