Texas (Propeller), 7 Mar 1899

Description
Full Text

The second steamer of the new National Transportation Co.'s fleet will be named TEXAS. She will be some 24 feet longer than the PENNSYLVANIA and will undoubtedly carry a larger cargo than any steamer on the lakes. She will be no larger than the Rockefeller steamers of the MORSE type, but her cargo will certainly exceed 8,000 net tons. The TEXAS is to be ready for service early in October next.
