The new schooner JOHN Q. ADAMS, sailed from this port on Tuesday last, on her first voyage, bound to the Sault de St. Marie, with stores for the United States troops at the N. W. posts. She was built by Mr. James Short, for N.H. Merwin, Esq., of this village. She is about 55 tons burthen; and for model and workmanship, it is said is not surpassed by any vessel of her size on the lake.
