Saturday, May 31, at 3:25 the schooner AMERICA was launched at Muir's. She is a three master, painted black of 144 feet over all, 138 feet keel, 12 foot depth of hold and 26 feet 2-1/2 inches beam. She is owned by her builder A.W. Muir. James Perry of this city was master builder. She is 350 tons.

      The new 3 masted schooner AMERICA, launched quite recently at Port Huron, passed downward Wednesday night on her maiden voyage. She is of the canal order and full size, registering about 350 tons. A.W. Muir is the builder and owner.
