Arundell (Propeller), I105784, 21 Sep 1899
Description
- Full Text
After several weeks of dickering on the part of H.W. Williams Transportation Co. of South Haven, who some time ago began a hunt for a side-wheeler to go into the Chicago-South Haven passenger business, the stm. DARIUS COLE has been sold, and according to figures given out, for the sum of $125,000. It was stipulated that the boat should be delivered to her new owners within 30 days, as it was thought that she might be needed for some time yet on her present run. The arrival of the stm. ARUNDELL from her route on Lake Ontarion and St. Lawrence River, makes it possible for the COLE to be delivered immediately, and she will leave for South Haven probably this week. Lake Michigan thus secures a first-class little passenger steamer and at a very moderate cost.
