A fine new barque, the BADGER STATE, made her appearance in our harbor, this morning. She came in under fore top-sail in gallant style. She was built at the yard of Messrs. Jones, Milwaukee. Her dimensions are as follows:- Length on deck 155 feet, 29 feet ? beam, 12 feet hold and of 500 tons. She is under the command of Capt. Hugh Shorts, formerly of the SAM HALE, an experienced and capital good fellow.
