Mr. J.W. Godfrey, of this city, has purchased the schooner E. St. J. BEMIS, built by Salmon Ruggles of Milan. She is a trim craft of 300 tons, and rated at 15,000 bushels wheat. her rig is square, fore-and-aft, and was made and set by Mr. Bemis. The whole construction and equipment of this vessel reflects much credit upon the parties above named. The BEMIS is designed for the Buffalo and Chicago grain trade, until the incoming crop again renders Sandusky the great produce mart it always is in years of plenty, when the vessel will come into this trade. ------ Sandusky Register

Mr. P. T. Ralph, of the PLYMOUTH ROCK, furnishes us the following Memoranda:-- June 11th, passed schrs. Gov. Hunt and West Wind in Detroit River, bound up; schr. Stanley bound down' brig Ellen Parker, schrs Live Yankee and Clipper, bound down; schr in the British Channel with white signal, red diamond and blue siding, bound up; " passed a new schr with two windows in her stern, no name:" schr Velocity bound down off Bar Point; a bark aground off Stoney Point, no figure-head, tug going to her assistance; a top-sail schr, a three masted and a fore and aft schr bound down off Bar Point; brig S.F. Gale in tow off Bar Point, wind W. N. W., fresh.
