Hamilton. June 5. - It was announced that the new propeller, built for Capt. Fairgrieve at Zealand's yard, would be launched at three o'clock this afternoon Long before the time mentioned a large crowd of citizens were present to witness the interesting ceremony, but for some cause unexplained, the boat would not move on the ways until five o'clock, when she glided gracefully into her natural element amidst the cheers of hundreds. Miss Ida Fairgrieve, daughter of the owner, broke a bottle of champagne against her bow as she started and christened her the CANADA, when instantly the flag bearing her name was hoisted.
