Description
Full Text

The "CHALLENGE," a new clipper schooner of 150 tons burthen, owned and built by Capt. Throop, of the steamer ONTARIO, at the mouth of the Genesee River, will sail today on her maiden voyage. She is designed for the trade of all the lakes, and her first voyage is to Cleveland. She is a beautiful craft, trim as a model, and has rare points for speed, that will make her the fastes sailor on the lakes. Her building was under the personal superintendence of Capt. Throop - the best guarantee of her good qualities. The CHALLENGE will be commanded by Capt. William P. Morley. - Rochester American
