Chicago, Sept. 7 - Supervising Inspector Wescott arrived here this morning from Detroit and is hearing the appeal of from the ruling of the local steamboat inspector in ordering the CITY OF TOLEDO out of commission until her boilers were repaired. The owners of the boat are also here and are making a strong fight to keep the steamer in commission in order to hold the Henry syndicate to its charter for the balance of the season. The local inspector claims that the boilers were in a dangerous condition, and if overruled by the supervising inspector will doubtless appeal to the Secretary of the Treasury.
