Description
Full Text

The stmr. COLUMBIAN begins today running on regular schedule time between this city and Chippewa, Ont., leaving the foot of Commercial St. at 7:00 and 10:15 A.M. and 2:30 and 5:30 P.M., stopping at Ferry St. Yesterday the new steamer made her maiden trip out of Buffalo and in the afternoon took a party of invited guests to Slater's Landing, from where they were given a trip over the Niagara Park & River Railroad to Queenstown and return. Refreshments were served at the Falls, and dinner on the COLUMBIAN while coming up the river.
This signals the opening of a new line by water and rail to Toronto, passing the Falls on the Canadian bank. It is a trip filled with delight throughout it length and is bound to jump into popularity.
