NEW BOAT FOR THE St. CLAIR RIVER TRADE.---Capt. E.B. Ward informs us, that yesterday the keel of a new boat was laid at Newport, which it was the intention of the builders to have floating on the water in five weeks from date. This new boat will be about the same size as the FORRESTER, and will take the place of the RUBY on the route to Port Huron. She is to be called the COMET. This is another evidence of the rapid growth of the trade and commerce of Detroit.--- Detroit Dem. & Inq.
