NEW STEAMER.---Mr. Heaton, Clerk of the steamer OCEAN, informs the Cleveland Herald that Captain E.B. Ward has launched at Newport, a new steamer, to be called the "COMET." She is 200 feet long, 30 feet broad, and with 11 feet hold She will take the engine of the steamer PACIFIC. She is intended for the Detroit and Port Huron trade.
