The new stm. COMET, built last season at Newport by Capt. E.B. Ward, arrived here yesterday from the River St. Clair. She will be finished while here to completion, when she proceeds to Chicago to take her place on the route between that port and Grand Haven. Capt. Goodrich, of Goderich, has recently purchased her expressly for the route. She expects to leave here on Saturday.

      For Green Bay, Beaver Island, Mackinac and Intermediate Ports. - The new and splendid upper cabin fast side-wheel stm. COMET, Capt. Morgan, will leave the dock of John Hutching & Co. for the above ports, on Saturday morning, April 14th, at 9:00. FOr freight, passage, or particulars, apply on board, or at the office of J. Hutchings & Co., foot of Griswold St.
