The stm. COMMODORE which was recently bought by the Illinois naval militia from the Western Transit Co., was being fitted out yesterday by the state authorities and will be taken to Chicago shortly to be used as a training ship on Southern Lake Michigan.
      The craft has not been in commission for several seasons. She is one of the oldest wooden freighters on the lakes.
