Capt. Andrew Grimes of the schr. DART sold hides, belonging to General L. Barker of Fredonia, N.Y. The hides were to be delivered to Dunkirk, but Capt. Grimes sold them at Cleveland. He had intended to sell the schooner also, but Gen. Barker found his hides on a canal boat, and Capt. Grimes is now in a Cleveland jail. The hides were sold for $40,000.
