Full Text

The brig JOHN G. DESHLER is undergoing repairs at Detroit preparatory to embarking on her third, if we are not mistaken, voyage across the Atlantic. This time she will take a cargo of copper ore from the Bruce Mines, C. W., near the upper shore of Lake Huron, to London. The DESHLER it will be recollected took a cargo of wheat from Milwaukee two years ago. She is owned by P. Tregent, Esq., formerly of Detroit and now a resident of Liverpool.

The Brig JOHN G. DESHLER, which has already established considerable notoriety in the European trade, having made several successful voyages across the Atlantic, is now taking her departure for Liverpool with a cargo of copper, for John Taylor & Son, London, England. She arrived here yesterday from Superior, and is at present taking on the requisite supplies. The ground tier of her freight consists of a few thousand staves of the choicest selection. The DESHLER on this voyage will be commanded by Capt. Richard Stringleman, who has not only had a long sojourn on the lakes, but has spent the early part of his life on salt water, and is consequently an old and experienced navigator. We wish the Captain and his noble craft a prosperous voyage out, and safe return home again. - Detroit Free Press.
