NEW STEAMBOAT.---Capt. E.B. Ward, formerly commander of the CHAMPION, has built a new boat called the DETROIT, to run regularly between Cleveland and Sault Ste Marie. The DETROIT is said to be a beautiful boat.

Paddle steamer DETROIT, of 352 tons. Built Newport, Mich., 1846. First home port, Detroit, Mich. DISPOSITION -- Collided with bark NUCLEUS May 25, 1854 in Saginaw Bay, Mich. No lives lost.
