LAUNCHED. -- On Saturday Quayle and Martin launched for N. C. Winslow and Capt. Smith, late of the propeller POTOMAC, the fine fore-and-after GEORGE T. DOUSMAN. She is a strong vessel of beautiful model, and will do honor to the large fleet of A No. 1 vessels that are built here this season. She is of the same size as the schooner CHARLES H. WALKER, which measures 126.32 feet keel, 26.08 feet beam, 11.26 feet hold and 373 tons. Capt. Smith will sail the DOUSMAN. -- Cleveland Herald.

NEW VESSEL. -- The new schooner G. D. DOUSMAN is in the old river, nearly ready for sea. She is built by Quayle and Martin for N. C. Winslow and Captain J. M. Smith, who is to sail her. Her dimensions by Custon House measurement are: Length 137:09 feet; beam 25:88 feet; hold 11:15 feet; and she registers 369 and 23:95ths tons. She cost $16,500, and the money has been well laid out in every respect. She furnishes another reason for the preference, which the Board of Underwriters have given to vessels built at Cleveland. She will sail in a few days for Saginaw for a load of lumber, and thence to Chicago. -- Plaindealer.
