Preparations are being carried out for launching the steamer EIGHTH OHIO, from the foot of Adair Street, this city. Her boilers and machinery are in place and the hull comparatively finished. She will be propelled by the engine formerly in the steam barge HENRY HOWARD.

      The steam barge EIGHTH OHIO was launched yesterday afternoon at the foot of Adair Street, quite a number being on hand to witness the event. The remainder of her machinery will at once be put in place and the steamer start out on a trial trip.
