NEW VESSEL: - The new schooner ELMIRA, built at Sackett's Harbor, arrived at Chicago on her maiden trip last Monday. She possesses a handsome model and measures 297 tons burden with a carrying capacity of 20,000 bushels of wheat.

NEW VESSEL:- The new fore-and-aft schooner ELVINA, reached here for the first time yesterday. She was constructed at Sackett's Harbor, at which place she is owned. She is of canal build and possesses a rather handsome model, measuring 297 tons burden, new style, and having a carrying capacity of 20,000 bushels of wheat. Her cargo consisted of 2,904 barrels of salt, which she took on at Oswego.

The schooner ELVINA, Capt. Frank Maguire, arrived in port this morning from Milwaukee, having completed the round trip from this port in twenty-six days. The fast ones will have to keep their weather eye lifted for Captain
Maguire. The ELVINA is owned by Messrs. John Dunn and John E. Lee.
