EMPIRE 2nd. - A small sized steamboat, we suppose, for the dimensions are not given, was launched at Grand Rapids, Mich., on the 1st inst., and named EMPIRE. She belongs to A. Kikeman, and promises to be out by the 4th proximo. - Commercial.

      Last Saturday, about sunset, the new steamboat built at the yard upon Canal St., by Capt. Jasper Parish, was launched into her natural element. She is called the EMPIRE. Her engine is in a state of great forwardness, and the next 4th July is fixed on for her first trip. She is about 130 ft. in length and draws 8 inches aft and 13 forward. - Grand Rapids Enquirer, June 13th.
