At Jones' shipyard one hundred and fifty men are employed. There the steamer WESTERN METROPOLIS, formerly one of the floating palaces of the lakes, is being changed into a bark. Besides the METROPOLIS Mr. Jones is rebuilding the schooner RAINBOW, for G.B. Simpson, of Detroit; repairing the brig EMPIRE STATE, for Morse & Perrine, by adding new decks, keelson, monkey-rails and rebuilding cabins; repairing the schooner FREMONT, for Nims & Gibson, by adding new decks and repairing cabins; and repairing the schooner AMERICA for Capt. Hausser.
