Enquirer (Steam yacht), 20 Jun 1896

Description
Full Text

The new and elegant steam yacht ENQUIRER, owned by W.J. Conners, will be taken out for a short trial run this afternoon for the purpose of testing her engine and machinery. The boat is not completed, but will be in condition to run this afternoon, and the builders state that she will be ready to turn over to her owner in a few days now. The builders are to make this trial run, which will be undertaken to see how the yacht behaves.
It is expected that the start will be made about 2:00, and a stop will be made at the Reed Dock on the way down the Creek. Her owners expect to take her out again on Sunday for a second run on the lake.

The new Blue Book of American Shipping contains a fine half tone of
W.J. Conner's new yacht, the ENQUIRER.
