Lester & Co., shipbuildrs at Marine City, have just launched from their shipyard at that place a fine schooner barge of 40,000 bu. capacity of the following dimensions; 190' * 31'6" * 13'; class A1. She has been christened the NETTIE GARDNER. The very choicest of material has been used in the construction of this vessel, and for strength she will be unsurpassed. She has an excellent model and well drawn lines. She will have a first class fit out, a snug rig and will be capable of making good time through the lakes independent of outside aid. Her owners intend havinh her ready for seas with the least possible delay.

The new schr. NELLIE GARDNER, of Blodgett's line, which was launched at marine City recently, is of the following dimensions: Length 190 ft.; beam 21 ft. 6 inches; depth of hold 13 ft.; class A1. The very choicest material has been used in her construction, and for strength she will be equal to any afloat. her carrying capacity is 600,000 ft. of lumber. She is now loading at Milwaukie, for Buffalo, but after this trip will engage in the grain trade.
