IMPORTANT TO SOUTHERN MERCHANTS AND EMIGRANTS.--

The proprietors of the EAGLE LINE, Chicago Packets, have made arrangements with their agents, Messrs. Hubbard & Co. of Chicago, for the speedy transportation from Chicago, of Passengers, Furniture, Merchandize, &c. destined to Ottawa or Utica, the head of steam boat navigation upon the Illinois river, to La Fayette, Attica, Covington, Eugene or Terre Haute, Indiana, on the Wabash, and to Galena, at reasonable rates of transportation.
