Steam Boat Thomas Jefferson.--This splendid boat, of which we recently gave a description, returned to port, from her first trip to Detroit, last evening. She proves herself every way worthy of her name, and justifies the best expectations of her well wishers. Her run to this port, from Detroit, was accomplished in twenty-eight hours, making all her regular stops, at the side ports, staying at Erie three hours, and carrying no more than eight inches of Steam. This for machinery entirely new, is certainly doing well, let who will do better.
