The clipper brig JOHN H. HARMON takes her departure for Chicago this morning on her first trip. She was built in this city during the past winter by Mr. J. Wolverton. Her dimensions are as follows: Length of keel, 125 ft.; breadth of beam 26 ft.; depth of hold, 10 ft. 6 inches. She is owned by Messrs. Peck & Brown of Chicago, and Capt. Tom Wickham, of this city, the latter of whom is in command.
