Mr. Bagley, builder of the excursion boat, BRET HARTE, states that the vessel can carry 75 passengers, but not over that number. The vessel has a Government permit for that number. Mr. Bagley further states that to carry over that number would be dangerous. Nevertheless the boat has taken on 100 passengers on several occasions. - Chicago Times
