Description
Full Text

The GEORGE O. HOUGHTON, a new vessel launched and commissioned at Milwaukee a few days since, passed here yesterday afternoon, bound eastward, on her first voyage. She is of the canal size and model, having a carrying capacity of about 25,000 bu. She was built by Wolf & Davidson and is in part owned by that firm and 3 other parties. Whatever may be her most favorable points she has made a remarkable quick passage to this port from Milwaukee, and may therefore be safely pronounced a fleet sailer.
