Detroit.---The new wooden barge IRON QUEEN, built for the Duluth and Atlantic Transportation Co., was launched Thursday afternoon from the Detroit Drydock. She is a sturdy looking boat and well built, as are all boats turned out by the Detroit Drydock Co. She is 254 feet long, thirty nine feet nine inches beam and twenty five feet deep. She is expected to carry 85,000 bushels on a sixteen foot draft. She is valued at $85,000, and will be ready for work in one week.
