The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Lady of the Lakes (Schooner), 20 May 1826

Description
Full Text

The LADY OF THE LAKES. -- This very elegant new schooner, owned by Capt. Walker, and others, arrived in this port this morning, from Ohio. She is ninety tons burthen, and is at least equal, as to model and finish, to any vessel on the lakes. Improvement in ship-building appears to keep pace with the great increase of business on these waters.
