A Boston dispatch says: "The schooner Ira Lafrienier, of Deer Isle, Me., Capt. Pomeroy, from Bangor to New York with lumber, was driven shore off Nanset Bar during the gale. The captain and crew of four men were rescued by a volunteer crew captained by E. P. Snow in the boat of the humane society. The schooner looks to be in a bad position and is likely to go to pieces. The Ira Lafrienier was of 198.69 tons groos, 123.2 feet length, 25 feet beam and was built at Cleveland, O., her home port being, however, Deer Isle."
