St. Catharines, May 22 - LAUNCH - A splendid propeller was launched this afternoon from the shipyard of Mr. Simpson, at lock No. 5 on the Welland Canal. She is full canal size, and of beautiful model. She is owned by the Lake & River Steamboat Co., of Hamilton, P. Larkin of St. Catharines also having an interest in her. The new craft is named the LAKE ERIE, and will be commanded by Capt. Perritte, an experienced toiler of the sea.
