Wormen were engaged yesterday in moving a huge furnace and boiler down Exchange St. to the freight depot of the Buffalo and Erie Railroad Co., whence it will be shipped to Erie, Pa. to Messrs. Scott, Hearn & Co., for whom it was built by David Bell, of this city. The boiler and furnace are 8 1/2 ft. wide by 10 1/2 ft. high, and cost in the neighborhood of $5,000. It will be put in the stm. MISSOURI, which has recently been rebuilt at Erie. It is a fine example of Buffalo manufacture in its line.
