At 7:00 P. M. at the Dry Dock yard, the tug MOCKING BIRD, built by Alex "Sandy" Stewart, was launched. She is 137 feet over all; 115 feet keel, 22 feet beam. Her engine is at the Cuyahoga Works in Cleveland and is 26-1\2 x 30 inches. The machinery is at Cleveland ready to be put in. When she was launched she unfortunately did not go clear off at first, and it was feared she had stuck badly, but a slight effort by a tug topok her into deep water, and before midnight, she was moored to the dock all right. She is named the MOCKING BIRD

      . . . . .

Capt. Moffat's new tug which was launched a few days since at Livingstone & Co.'s shipyard, Port Huron, has since been named the MOCKINGBIRD. She has been towed to Cleveland for her machinery and in a short time will be commissioned. The OCKINGBIRD is represented as having a most beautiful model and excellent finish. She is of the larger class and is designed for towing on the lakes and rivers. Her engines are of superior make and great power. Who is to command her has not yet been made known.
