Failure in the excursion traffic this past summer, yesterday compelled the placing of the stmr. NELLIE under the U.S. Marshal's hammer at Tonawanda. This craft was brought from Port Huron during the summer months and was engaged in the excursion business, running from Buffalo to Edgewater. Competition was too stiff and when her finances became low several libel suits were brought. Frank J. Bissing bid in the NELLIE for $2,000.
