Yesterday afternoon, an immense concourse of people assembled to witness the launch of the NIAGARA. Everything seemed favorable, the ways well laid, and nothing appeared to hinder the boat from going off in fine style, At 4:00 she commenced moving and had got half her length into the water when she stuck fast having struck against a sunken piece of timber. She proved to be very strongly put together, as when she struck she bulged very much amidships; which in any ordinary built boat would have broken her in two. They expect to get her off without much difficulty.
