NEW STEAMER ON LAKE ONTARIO.--The Oswego Times says:-The new steamer NORTHERNER was launched a few days since, from the shipyard of George S.Weeks, and slid gracefully into her destined element amid the cheers of a vast concourse of people and the firing of cannon.
The NORTHERNER is the largest steamer on this lake. Her burthen being about 1,000 tons, carpenters measurement. She is built for the Ontario and St. Lawrence Steamboat Company, and will run in connection with the Oswego and Syracuse railroad cars, at an early period the coming season.
